I have been working as an HVAC technician for almost ten years now.
I have to admit that going to work was quite an odd thing for me to do, if you were to meet my family.
My parents haven’t worked since they were in their thirties and my siblings think work is a bad word. If I had lived with them after I graduated, I would probably be living with the same ideas, but I left. I wanted to do something with my life. I ended up finding a way to go to technical school, with a government scholarship. I chose to go to school to get a certification in heating, ventilation and air conditioning. I think it was the most rewarding thing I could have done for myself. Now, as an HVAC technician, you would think I would have perfect heating and air conditioning in all parts of my life. You’re going to laugh when I tell you that there isn’t any air conditioning in my service van. I may know a lot about air conditioning, but I know nothing about vehicles. Every time I want to take the van to the service station and have the AC fixed, I end up working. I couldn’t tell them no I couldn’t take the job because I needed the money. I recently got married and I am going to be a dad. For now, I have decided there are many things worse than driving a vehicle that doesn’t have air conditioning. I could be broke and not be able to afford to have a wife and baby.
