The smell of dog was overwhelming.

When I was in real estate, I thought I had seen, smelled, and heard everything for getting a home ready for sale. I remember feeling sick when I walked into a home was in such poor shape that I wanted to cry and it was only ten years old. I got sick when I walked into a house stunning on the outside, but smelled like death on the inside. The odor of dogs was so overwhelming that I almost choked. The owner was offering me a cup of coffee and asking me where I thought she should set the price. I knew it was my job to help them price the house and to get the home ready for sale. I hadn’t even signed a seller’s contract with her yet, and I was wondering if I should even consider it. I walked through the house with her, holding a tissue as close to my nose as I could get it without looking rude. I told her I had bad allergies. I asked her if she had air conditioning and she told me she never used it. I wondered where the dogs were and she said the last one had just disappeared and she hadn’t had one in months. My first suggestion was to get an air purification system for the HVAC system. I asked how old her HVAC system was, and she had no idea. I called the HVAC co company that worked with me, and then I called a professional cleaning company. They both knew that when the house sold they would get their pay. We had a HVAC system with air purifications installed, and the house was cleaned. They found the lost dog behind the sofa.
