I hate rushing around and getting nothing completed.
Life has been hectic for a while now. I needed to make some changes. My time and energy are valuable and important. I decided to stop trying to do everything on my own. I realized that I don’t have the time to get everything done. I can’t complete every home repair, manage the responsibilities of my full-time job, be a good wife and mother, stay active in the community, make sure to exercise and also act as my own cleaning lady. There are times when I’ve found some comfort in folding the laundry. I like vacuuming and dusting. I enjoy seeing the improvement and the feeling and smell of a clean home. However, my schedule has grown more demanding over the last few years. First, we had another child. The pregnancy came as a surprise, and I was tired and nauseous for the majority of it. Fortunately, the older kids are good about keeping their rooms clean. I don’t mind doing the basic cleaning stuff. But I no longer have the available hours to do the in-depth cleaning. I can’t keep up with washing windows, scrubbing toilets, cleaning aerators on the faucets, getting the cobwebs out of the corners and cleaning behind the refrigerator. I realized it would benefit me to hire a professional cleaning service. I didn’t need someone coming into the house on a daily basis. What I need is a weekly surface cleaning and a steady completion of the more involved tasks such as floor maintenance. I wanted a cleaning service that comes in with their own cleaning products and equipment. It has been a game changer. I am so happy when I arrive home from work and the house is sparkly clean, smells fresh and everything is all picked up and tidy.
