For as long as I could remember, my brother and I would do rock-paper-scissors to determine who has to do what.
This is how it was when it came to doing our chores and things like that.
Like if it was my turn to change the air filter for the HVAC system, I’d challenge him to rock-paper-scissors and the loser would have to take on the chores of the other. We’ve always been close while growing up and eventually we both even decided to become HVAC technicians. Oftentimes, we even get the major commercial jobs where we work together. We work pretty well together and it’s no surprise that things are often assigned to us that way. I guess you could say we developed a bit of a reputation at the HVAC shop. Everybody knows how we settle our disputes, with the rock-paper-scissors. The funny thing is that anybody else who challenges us can never beat us. We are so focused on it that we always know which to throw down. With each other though, we know how to trick each other so it remains extremely competitive. Sometimes when we are on separate work assignments, we might do rock-paper-scissors to see who gets the better work assignment. It’s just a general rule with us, when challenged, you can not turn down that challenge. We are so crazy with it all, our wives are driven mad by it, but even they have become great friends. Our wives love us though no matter how crazy us brothers can get, and they are the best.
