I’m working in the office this upcoming week, and the gas heating machine genuinely is stuck in the on position.
It is so overheated in here that it feels basically like I am living inside of a gas furnace.
It’s not even funny, although it feels sort of like I am inside of some sort of sitcom on TV. The gas furnace just keeps working without shutting off, and the overheated air keeps blowing out of the air vents right above my desk. I have peeled off every piece of clothing that I possibly can, and I tried using the little fan that’s on my desk but it is no match for the giant commercial heating machine that is stuck in their own position here at the office. I called them to the service department, but they basically laughed at me. They said that the heating machine had been stuck in the on position for a long time and that there was nothing that they could do about it. Apparently, the Heating plus Air Conditioning machine is controlled by some sort of centralized hub that is not even in place at our office building. The people in the service department let me know that they had been on the iPhone for hours trying to get everything handled to no avail. They ended up calling a local commercial Heating plus Air Conditioning business to have them come in and shut off the HVAC machine manually because they couldn’t figure out any other way to do it and people were easily fainting because of the brutal heat! I was never so pleased to see a Heating plus Air Conditioning machine worker as I was that afternoon!
