We are ready for the next level

I haven’t played with my bandmate in six weeks and am starting to get the itch to do so.

He was gone in the mountains recently, but now he’s here, and it looks like we will play four more mornings at a club open mic night.

We’d like to get into the clubs in the city and then start doing other clubs. However, we intend to make money doing gigs so we are working on promotional material so that they can see what we are all about. We are getting cards made at the local corporation soon and will dish them out to all of the local contractors and clubs in the city to see who bites. We want to make $250 each per night minimum and we are sure we have a good number of songs to do concerts and really put on a good show for most people. I want to play in heated ski lodges in the winter time and beach bars with AC in the summer, but I need to get my bandmate on the same page as me because he worries we are pushing our band so soon. We’ve been playing together for just 12 months, despite the fact that he has 22 years of songsal experience and I have 20 years of performing arts experience with some songs mixed in. I started songs when I was a new contractor back when I had a drum set in my dorm room with AC, so I guess between me and my bandmate’s experience we are ready for the next level.
