My allergies are out of control

Since I live in the northern area of the country, I spend most of the year with the central heat running.

It is not unusual for the furnace to run for eight hours straight at a time.

It is not necessary to have any cooling system. For most of my life, I have gotten along just fine without air conditioning. I enjoy opening the windows and letting in fresh air. I don’t really mind the heat, and if the house gets uncomfortably sticky, I simply ran a good fan. When I started getting severe troubles with allergies, my doctor recommended that have a central cooling system installed at my home. Having the windows open was allowing in all sorts of contaminants, such as pollen, dust particles, and exhaust fumes. This was aggravating my allergies, causing headaches, congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, and sore throats. I felt so miserable that from time to time that I didn’t like to get out of bed. Instead of taking strong doses of relief medication, the doctor suggested that I takes steps to change my environment. Investing in central cooling has made a massive difference in my health and additionally, my comfort. I now keep the windows closed regularly. Although I miss the flow of outside air, I am avoiding pollutants, exterior smog, and odors. My house is just cleaner, and I feel much better. I even sleep more peacefully with the sound of the air conditioner and the feel of the cool oxygen circulating. Plus, the cooling unit carries a multi stage filtration system which helps remove any airborne particulate.
