My mom and dad own a big family restaurant here in town. It’s a cafeteria with lots of different food options that are available every single day. All of the food is homemade, and my mom and dad have basically developed a cult following around our area. People come here from miles around to eat at their restaurant. They recently started having some trouble with some small roof leaks in the kitchen and in the dining area. When my dad first noticed the roof leak, he wanted to climb up onto the roof to try and repair the roof himself. I told him that there was no way that he was going to go climbing around on the roof, since he’s almost 75 years old. He got mad at me, but I insisted and I ended up calling around to talk to a few commercial roofers near me. My dad didn’t want to close the restaurant down, but we couldn’t really stay open while we had all of these roof leaks going on. The commercial roofing companies that I talked to all said the same thing. They couldn’t give me an estimate for fixing the restaurant’s roof without coming out and checking out the place. I ended up making an appointment with the commercial roofing company to come to the restaurant and see what the issue was. They were really easy to work with and it didn’t cost as much as we were afraid that it would to get the roof repaired. Within a few days, the commercial roofing company got everything squared away and we were back open for business again.
