When I got into this serious car accident, all I remember was reaching down to adjust the temperature control settings.
After that, I can’t even remember.
Well, from what witnesses have said, they explained that my car drifted into the other lane and I collided with another vehicle. Fortunately the speed limit was 25 and the accident had no fatalities. I was thankful to hear that the other driver was fine. They even inquired about how I was doing. They didn’t blame me but they did have my insurance to cover their damages. I was thankful that this person could be so forgiving. I mean, they could have been killed thanks to me just wanting to get the right temperature control settings. I could have waited for a stop light or even had the temperature control settings just right before I left my house. I think about the accident all the time though. I remember being in the ambulance and I kept waking up and saying that it was too overheated. Then I felt like I was in Antarctica as it was freezing. I kept asking the healthcare professionals to adjust the temperature control settings but they never listened. These days, I always remember to have the temperature control settings just right before I leave home so I won’t be fumbling around and not paying attention to the road. You don’t realize what can really happen to you in the blink of an eye, and fortunately I didn’t ruin anybody’s life or take away their life. It could have been so much worse.
