I used my store credit card to buy a new space heater for my mobile home

And the best part is getting the cash back on larger purchases like my new space heater

I had bad credit in my 20s. I made the mistake of maxing out my first card in college and then applied for more before paying the original off. As anyone can imagine, my debt continued to build even as I secured a job and was becoming independent. Once I was out of the house and ready to get my first car without my parent’s help, I realized just how important credit is. The only people that would approve a loan for me were loan sharks so I had to buy a beater car off the internet. This was a learning experience for me, because from that point moving forward I started to take my finances more seriously. My goal was to pay off my credit card debt so I could get a better credit rating score. The only way you can hope to get credit approval is through a higher credit score. It took the better part of a decade, but now I have much better credit and several credit cards with low interest rates. Some would ask, why bother having credit cards if you’re free of debt? That’s because some credit cards come with serious benefits. My Amazon credit card gives me 5% back on every single purchase made with the card. This really adds up quickly, and you’ll pay no interest as long as you pay off the debt by the end of the month. My credit card at the local supercenter is similar, but it also gives me huge cash incentives for grocery shopping. And the best part is getting the cash back on larger purchases like my new space heater. It’s a radiant heater with quartz heating elements and it wasn’t cheap. At $60, I was hoping it would be a good space heater but I haven’t been disappointed by it yet. It keeps my apartment wonderfully warm no matter how cold it gets outside.
