I have never been the type to get scared easily, but last week when I was out on a service call and had to go way out of town to find the client that needed the service, I somehow got turned around and ended up in the middle of nowhere.
- These people lived in a really rural area, and I was in a place where there must have been nothing around me for miles.
It was just a tiny two lane road that stretched for miles in a land of emptiness of anything else but long grassy plains. There was nobody out here. I work for a mobile HVAC company, when I first became a heating and AC worker I was working for a mobile heating and air conditioning company to be a unique opportunity. I loved to drive and see new places so I had no problem going the distance to repair somebody’s heater or air conditioner. But on this trip, I was nervous. I had never been so far away from town, and my GPS couldn’t get access to the Internet and was no longer working. I had a good idea of how to get back but I was uncertain. On the bright side, after driving around lost for an hour I finally found the customers home and fixed their a/c before making my way back to town. It took some time but I did find my way back and I was happy to finish out work for the day and head back home after being lost.
