Radiant floors provide so many advantages

Comfort can cater to personal preference and room requirements

There are a lot of great benefits to radiant floor heating. Unlike more conventional options, the equipment is entirely concealed. There are no unattractive pipes, vents or units taking up valuable living space, detracting from aesthetics or limiting the arrangement of furniture. Plus, the operation is virtually silent. A hydronic radiant system requires a boiler and a series of pipes. The boiler is typically installed in the basement, heats water and pumps it through a closed loop system, using the same water over and over. Because of this, there is no chance of any type of contaminants entering into the process and getting spread into the breathing air of the home. Boilers have very few moving parts, minimizing maintenance needs while maximizing reliability and longevity. Water heats up and keeps heat longer than air, which translates into short run times and effective temperature control. The heat from the pipes spreads across the surface of the floor and is infused rather than blown into the air. Any objects such as furniture sitting on the floor also gets warmed up and further helps to radiate heat. There are no drafts, cold spots or major temperature fluctuation. WIth heated floors, the temperature anywhere in the room never varies more than three degrees from the thermostat setting. Another advantage of heated floors is the opportunity to set up zones. A thermostat in each room offers independent adjustment. Comfort can cater to personal preference and room requirements. There’s no need to pay to heat empty rooms. One of the only drawbacks of radiant flooring is the lack of cooling capacity.
