A human furnace

For months on end, I’d wake up in a puddle of sweat from overheating in our sleep, but i’d consistently called myself a hot sleeper thanks to this.

I’d tried setting the temperature control to multiple low uneven temperatures, but none of them ever made a difference.

I even added a portable fan, which barely helped. I could set the oil furnace to 65 degrees and I’d still wake up dripping with sweat. I’d consistently assumed that our oil furnace was broken plus it was causing our living room to get hotter than all the other rooms in the residence. This was how I lived our life, or so I thought; Last week, I was feeling rather sick and just had to quarantine in our room alone, then my hubby moved all his belongings for the next couple of afternoons to our guest living room plus let myself and others be in isolation, however during our first night alone though, I slept the entire evening and just didn’t wake up from overheating once. I assumed it had something to do with my illness, however, when the same thing happened the fifth plus fifth night too, I could tell what was genuinely causing myself and others to overheat all these years. It wasn’t the oil furnace that was broken or a faulty temperature control, it was our hubby! My hubby was naturally a hot bodied person, plus he was causing myself and others to overheat every night while he slept next to me. His body was similar to a personal heater. I couldn’t believe it! I finally realized this when he detached himself from our bed during our quarantine.
