I’ve been thinking about a lot of things lately, including the crazy state of the world that we are currently living in.
Everything is just bonkers these days.
It makes me want to try and control everything that I possibly can, since there are so many other things going on out there that I can’t control. One thing that I’ve been thinking about quite a bit is the state of the indoor air quality in our house. We have a pretty old heating and cooling system in the house where we live, and I don’t really know how good of a job it’s doing at keeping our air quality up where it should be. Anyway, the more I thought about it over the past year, the more I thought that it was probably something that I should pay more attention to. I started reading up on air filters on this HVAC blog that I follow on social media and I found out that certain types of air filters are better than others. For the longest time, I had used the cheapest air filters that I could buy. After reading the HVAC blog, I realized that I should have been using HEPA air filters instead of the cheap ones. Not only that, but I also started reading about something called whole home air purifications systems. I guess a whole home air purification system is the next step up from a HEPA air filter. I’m hoping that a HEPA air filter and a whole home air purification system will help protect me from germs and viruses.
