The final move we made was to install a ductless mini split in the bus along with solar panels on the roof.
For a long time, I just wanted to get an RV and travel around the country. When everybody finally graduated from high school, I said we finally had the opportunity to do this before everybody went to college. So all my friends were in for a nice road trip, but we went looking for an RV. I had no idea that RVs are so expensive and I started to lose hope because I knew we weren’t going to be able to afford an RV. Of course it would not be the same just driving in a car either, especially since there were so many of us. Then I saw that there was this old school bus for sale. It didn’t have too many miles and it was in great condition. The price was right and I told my buddies that we could fix the old bus up like an RV. We took out most of the chairs and put in better seating and some beds. We actually had the bus looking something like an RV when we were done, and the paint job was really nice on top of that. The final move we made was to install a ductless mini split in the bus along with solar panels on the roof. This was perfect for providing enough power to work the ductless mini split. I have to say, that was the best RV trip I had ever been on and we met a lot of people on our journey. It was the experience of our lives and we will never forget that trip. We plan on doing this once per year moving forward to!
