I was thinking the other day about how air conditioner and heating has come a long way technology wise! Back when I was growing up we did not have central heating and air conditioner. Our heating was offered by heating systems and our air conditioner was either non-existent or was offered by window a/cs, in our home growing up we had window air conditioner units all over the house. When I think back to those afternoons I have to say that I miss it a lot. I think that may sound ridiculous but it is true, the reason I miss it is because window a/cs had so little repair to perform on them unlike central heating and a/cs. You did not have to even think about heat and air conditioner tune up and check ups. It was all cut and dry. You just kept the air filter clean and changed in the window a/c and that was it! It would rarely ever break down, and if it did, you would just take it to an electric repair shop (remember those?). It costs under 1 hundred dollars to repair a window air conditioner unit if needed.
