I was thinking about investing in a heat pump to heat my home, but after looking into it and seeing the cost of the heat pump itself along with the replacement that the heating and cooling system charges , I decided against it.
Sure by getting a heat pump I could save a lot of money on energy bills in the long cold winters that we have here.
But at the end of the day, I would be spending way more that would take me decades to make back even with the energy savings! I figured it all out. So because I am not a rich person I am passing on the idea of getting a heat pump to heat our home, but what I am thinking about doing though is getting a brand new and new central heating and a/c that has the best possible seer rating. With an entirely wonderful seer rating you can save on energy use no matter how much you have to run your central heating or your central a/c unit. So this I suppose would be the best and most cost effective idea. To just get a wonderful seer rating heating and a/c is the cheapest answer within our budget to do something about it, however I will be shopping for a new heating and a/c equipment this weekend. I am planning on going down to my local heating and cooling system dealership and seeing what they have on sale.
