I moved around quite a bit during my life.
Climate was not consistently my choice as I grew up military plus then married into the maintenance as well.
My father was stationed down south for most of my life plus my pal and I had central a/c so life was tolerable. I say honorablebecause I am not a fan of the heat plus humidity. When I graduated high college I moved to the Pacific Northeast where the weather conditions, although damp, is much more moderate. Many homes there have small space or wall boilers plus tend not to have a/c. I cherish living where I can open the windows almost year round plus enjoy the fresh air. This summer time however, my pal and I have been experiencing record breaking heat for weeks. Thought of spending the rest of the summer time like this is maddening. I have contacted the local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C company but his is so overwhelmed with appointments that he can not schedule mine for at least 3 weeks. This is such an unofficial time for pretty much everyone that my pal and I are all scrambling to find relief. This is a great benefit to all of the contractor owners in neighborhood because people are heading somewhere with a/c to cool off. The theaters, eating establishments, plus malls are packed with people all the time. Although, great for the economy, it is not so great for our pocketbooks. I know that I am spending money that my pal and I had put away for our savings on extra items as well. I guess my pal and I will look into a portable component for the bedroom plus just suffer through the rest of summer time at this point. During the off season my pal and I will try contacting the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C company again to find out our options for next summer.
