Dog hates the first day of furnace usage

So many things are changing right now that I’m having a hard time keeping up.

For the past several years my life has been completely transient and I have been running at full speed to keep my brain in order.

As you might imagine, it’s rather difficult to comprehend three failed relationships, a new job that I’ve already quit, and starting school in a brand-new field. All of this has taken place in the past couple of years. On top of that, I recently relocated across the country so I could be closer to my family again. Now, we’re rapidly heading into the brutally cold winter season and I have even more to figure out. You know, heating a house all winter is not the easiest thing. It’s even harder when you have a dog who apparently despises your forced air furnace. I recently adopted a pooch without knowing his background… I never would have imagined that it included furnace phobias. However, it has become clear that my furry friend is not a big fan of using the indoor heating system that’s going to keep us alive this winter. I recently turned on the central heating system just to make sure that my furnace was operable before the weather really took a turn. My dog responded with barking his head off and trying to attack the air vents. He appeared to be terrified of the forced air furnace as it pushed high-quality treated indoor air through all of the vents. I’m wondering if he is going to settle down as we increasingly rely on the massive heating device. Fingers crossed, he learns to live with the central heating system. If not, I guess I’ll be making more changes.
