There is so much sickness around right now.
All of us have people in our local hospital that have this virus, and yet I had to go there for an appointment.
I easily didn’t want to go near the hospital, but I had a neck brace that needed to be removed. They were doing x-rays and making sure our neck brace had held our neck still enough for the cut to mend. The hour I walked into the hospital, I could imagine I smelled the sickness in the air. There were few people around and yet the air quality sucked. I wondered if the people in the Heating and Air Conditioning center had a problem with the whole-house air purifier. I got up to the office of our orthopedist, and it was so tepid that I couldn’t breathe. Now I knew there was a problem with the Heating and Air Conditioning. The hospital was never overly warm, but this was unusually warm. I talked to the nurse when I got into the office. She told me that it was colder in the departments where they had the people who had the virus. They were hoping to contain the illness by keeping it cooler. I knew that germs spread.when it was overly warm, but this was far from being cool. She told me that they had the thermostat changed on all of the floors. Apparently they upped the thermostat to save on the energy use on this floor since it wasn’t being used except for the occasional must-see patient. I had to admit that the air quality was better in this area, even if the temperature wasn’t.
