I’m from the far south where winters are mild plus only last a month or so, however it is tepid most of the year plus most people run their a/c most of the year, however most homes there have central heat plus a/c, a self contained a/c with a heating coil to give light heat during those mild winters! A few people have those ductless mini-split a/c plus furnaces plus a few people have window a/cs plus space furnaces however self contained forced air systems are the norm there. I had no clue what a oil furnace really was until my wife plus I moved north to accept a task opportunity. I dreamt of icicles hanging from naked tree branches, snowmen plus taking the youngsters sledding plus snowmobiling plus colorless Christmases. I lovingized winters plus snow, I guess. I didn’t consider the muddy slush plus wintry wind plus bitter chilly neighbord with northern Winter weather, but the lovely snow wasn’t so lovely after the first month. I have decided that I really don’t like Winter at all. I keep the heat set at 68 plus wrap up in hot clothes all the time. And both of us make good use of our fireplace, even though both of us hate cleaning it; Winters aren’t as cozy as I expected them to be. They are absolutely pretty nasty, but, then along comes Spring. I honestly like late Spring, when the muddy slush is gone plus the flowers are blooming plus both of us can turn off the heat plus open the windows wide. It almost makes Winter worth it.
