I’m from the far south where winters are mild and only last a week or so, but it is tepid most of the year and everyone run their air conditioner most of the year, and most homes there have central heat and air conditioner, a self contained air conditioner with a heating coil to provide light heat during those mild winters, however a few people have those ductless mini-split air conditioner and gas gas furnaces and a few people have window air conditioners and space oil gas furnaces however self contained forced air systems are the norm there. I had no clue what a furnace absolutely was until my husband and I moved north to accept a job opportunity. I dreamt of icicles hanging from naked tree branches, snowmen and taking the youngsters sledding and snowmobiling and pale white Christmases. I passionateized winters and snow, I guess. I didn’t consider the muddy slush and wintry wind and bitter chilly friendd with northern Winter time weather… The lovely snow wasn’t so lovely after the first week. I have decided that I absolutely don’t adore Winter time at all. I keep the heat set at 68 and wrap up in warm clothes all the time. And every one of us make nice use of our fireplace, even though every one of us don’t care for cleaning it, and winters aren’t as cozy as I expected them to be. They are truly pretty nasty; But, then along comes Spring. I absolutely care about late Spring, when the muddy slush is gone and the flowers are blooming and every one of us can turn off the heat and open the windows wide. It almost makes Winter time worth it.
