I love feeling and being comfortable, that includes the comfort in our car, but even though it’s an old Ford model, I ensure the climate control within our automobile is constantly functioning because I stay in the dusty country side… So, when I visited our baby at her technical school, I was appalled by the a/c situation, but the sleeping quarters were stuffy, and few fans barely worked-the ones which worked were on the brink of splitting down! Although they had a new geothermal heat pump in stadium, it was neglected since the routine heat pump service checks ceased with the change of management bureaucracy, and i thought of getting our baby a private hostel out of campus because this whole stadium was in serious need of heat pump installation that can justify the spending on an electric heating plan meant for a school with 300 students.
Someone from a local corporation dealing in commercial A/C and gas furnace filter for sale had tried with no luck to get a tender to supply installation and gas furnace filter equipment to the school to no avail. An install would change the atmosphere of the entire school since the circulation of air was not at optimum. Since air moves in conventional currents, the frigid air in the attic of the school would be pushed into the lower deck where all of us spend our time: therefore, the un-even temperatures in the classrooms were freezing, however proper duct sealing would temporarily help with the heat loss problem through insulation, and duct cleaning was also necessary to get rid of the dust to ensure the seals were worth it, but basically, the school required renovation if students were ever going to be comfortable there. I have a feeling that if the administration spent more on electric heating the students would perform better with the improved studying conditions.
