Don’t suppose heated flooring is necessary

My guy plus I are in the middle of fixing up our home.

There is only a particular amount of money budgeted for upgrades though.

So of course there are priorities in the house plus things that can wait. My guy absolutely wants to upgrade some unnecessary things in our opinion… One thing he keeps harping on is that he wants heated flooring put down, but every one of us are redoing the floors since the house has ancient carpet over plywood. I purchased the brick board, grout plus new stone plus I am ready to go. My guy read one article online about radiant heating plus now has to have it, apparently the best time to install the heating idea is when you rip up the floors. You can buy the electric heated mats from a hardware store plus install it yourself to save some money. The issue is that we live down south. The winters don’t get all that cold. There are maybe many weeks of chilly plus it is never below chilly. Our lake house has central heating too. It works just fine, the Heating & Air Conditioning is basically brand new. Buying another gas furnace seems totally pointless, heated flooring for those many weeks would be cool. The radiant floors are silent, energy efficient plus better for the air quality. However, it would cost me around 8 grand to get our whole house outfitted. I suppose that more than seven grand could be put anywhere else in the house plus be worth more. I would rather have a new home office or an upgraded bathroom with that money.
