I’ve always had a legitimately sensitive nose, so I can basically smell everything.
I was diagnosed with hyperosmia at a young age.
When our parents l earned that I had this, they felt bad for me. They used to be aggravated when I was always covering our nose and when I would complain about bad smells in the house. When they l earned of our condition though, they finally were nice about it when it came to things, my father decided to invest in higher quality air filters to help improve the air quality in the house. He also invested in a powerful air purification plan which helped a good deal with improving the smells in the household. He even would have the ductwork plan cleaned regularly… Because I was able to learn these techniques from our father, I was able to carry on the same techniques when I eventually lived on our own. It wasn’t simple growing up with such a sensitive sense of smell, however it’s something you just have to get used to. I mostly just stay at our own house because of it because I have a legitimately powerful UV air cleaner, and I use HEPA air filters, however nobody else I suppose uses HEPA air filters except for our parents. I savor visiting our parents because they understand me and our condition. When it comes to other people though, I can’t stand being in their homes for legitimately long. I have a hard time just shopping in weird stores. That is why I usually do our shopping at this local convenience store where they do have a powerful air cleaner.
