For a long time, I have not enjoyed going to my aunt’s house.
She has horrible air quality.
It’s not that she doesn’t change the air filters on time, it’s that she gets the cheapest ones she can find. She is always bragging about how she finds such great deals, including her air filters. I never was able to tell her how it was ruining her air quality and probably causing damage to her HVAC system and ductwork. Well eventually I went to her 60th birthday and she invited a ton of people. It was a really hot day and the air conditioning was working, but the place was filled with dust. I finally told her the reason why her air quality was so bad was because she was using those cheap air filters. I actually had some HEPA air filters in my car and I brought one in and helped my aunt change the air filter. It was amazing, the air quality improved a great deal within the hour and people seemed to be feeling more comfortable at her party. She asked me why I never told her about her poor air quality issue before. I didn’t really have a good reason other than I thought she would be offended or mad that I would dare say anything about her air quality. She laughed and said she would have listened and she would have been thankful. She said the improved air quality was really nice and she asked if I had any other tips to improve the air quality. I let her know that she could get a nice air purification system and also have her ductwork system cleaned.
