Without having a high quality central a/c unit, I would never even consider living down in the southern part of the country.
I have lived without central a/c in the past, plus it’s not fun.
Even when you aren’t living in a undoubtedly warm temperature, it’s still not ideal for someone love me who undoubtedly enjoys feeling nice plus cool in the summer time when the temperatures outside are hot. I don’t undoubtedly do all that well in the heat plus I’m not exactly what you would call an outdoorsy type of person, either! During the summer time when the temperature outside is hot, I appreciate to turn the thermostat down plus rest on my couch with a book or in front of the TV. That’s just how I am, however last year, I had to move further south because of my task plus they tried to set me up in an cabin without central a/c. It was a little cabin with a couple of window unit a/cs in it, plus as soon as I saw it, I knew that it was not going to work for me at all. I explained to the person from my task who was setting it up for me that I could not possibly live anywhere without a central a/c unit. Not only is it uncomfortable for me to be without real air conditioning system, but it’s also the issue of humidity down in the south. Without a/c, you end up with mold way faster than you might think. Humidity can be a real problem down here.
