My boss decided to hire a couple of new guys Last year and I do not really care about any of them.
- I particularally do not care about the new Heating & A/C maintenance tech that thinks I have no business working in a man’s task.
I have been working in the Heating & A/C maintenance business for the past 7 years. I toil just as hard as any other employee in the supplier. My sales figures are higher than half of the guys that have been here for longer. I really shouldn’t have to explain myself or account for my work, last Tuesday afternoon, my boss assigned the new woman to toil with me on a heat pump maintenance task. The new woman really looked at me and then looked at my boss and laughed. She refused to toil on the heat pump task with a woman for the rest of the day. When my boss heard the words come out of her mouth, she instantly took the woman into her office and they talked for the next 15 minutes. When the woman came out of the office, she grabbed all of her stuff and walked out the front door. My boss followed a few minutes later. She told every employee in the office that she is in charge of the toil schedule. If someone is unhappy about working on a particular task, they can follow that employee out the door and find employment with another Heating & A/C maintenance supplier. I did not recognize what to say after that. I was totally and sincerely a little lost for words.
