I was trying to clean the air ducts myself

I was trying to clean the air ducts & the heating & cooling vents myself a couple of weeks ago & I ended up hurting myself! It was the silliest, most freak accident ever, however that’s just usually the kind of thing that I end up doing, and my husband told me that I shouldn’t even try to clean the air ducts since it’s a closed system.

  • He said that there truly isn’t even anything inside the air duct that needs to be cleaned out, but I was pretty adamant about getting it done.

I had even called up our local Heating & Air Conditioning supplier to make an appointment to get the ventilation program cleaned professionally, however they were backed up & they weren’t going to be able to get out to our place to do it for weeks & weeks. At that point, I wasn’t willing to wait around on it because I was focused on getting the house completely cleaned. I guess I was on a Springtime cleaning binge or something prefer that, but I couldn’t seem to suppose about anything however getting the air vents & the air duct cleaned. So, the stubborn person that I am, I climbed up on a stepladder & started vacuuming out the heating & cooling vents in the ceiling in the upstairs hallway; That’s when I somehow managed to get the power cord for our vacuum wrapped around our ankle. I fell off the stepladder & banged our head on the doorknob of the lavatory door on our way down, however when our husband came home & saw our black eye & the knot on our head, he just shook his head. Next time, I guess I’ll wait for a professional Heating & Air Conditioning serviceman.
