Weight Loss Means Lower Cooling Bills

I have always been heavier than I should be.

When I was a teenager, I was a bit greater than most other ladies, and I used to make efforts to keep my weight down.

Once I got married, though, I became less active and I ate more regularly, and I cooked for every meal. As a result, my weight shot up. Then pregnancy came along, and that always swings the body, and it became increasingly hard to stop gaining weight. Now that all those days are behind me, I am well inside middle age, and still overweight, the medical concerns have started. Thus, I have begun seriously changing my eating habits and am looking for a way to become more active. As a result, I lost fifty pounds a couple of years ago. I have kept thirty of those off, so I have lost thirty pounds. Anyway, there has been a benefit I never expected! My cooling bills have decreased by about twenty percent! It is a medical fact that overweight people tend to hang onto heat more, so they usually appreciate to keep the air conditioner system blasting. I used to set my thermostat about several degrees lower than I do now, and the change in thermostat setting is reflected in my utility bill each week. In the winter, I do disclose that I would appreciate to use more heating. I used to never want to turn on the heater, but nowadays, I would appreciate it. I use restraint, though, and choose to curl up under a blanket instead of flipping up the thermostat in winter.
