When my boyfriend and I were looking at houses to purchase, I fell in love with this one place.
The back room overlooking the yard was amazing.
It had ceiling to floor windows that had a film on them. You could be totally private inside but still have that view. The ceiling was wood and rustic looking. There was an opening in the one wall that allowed a diner counter style and connected you to the kitchen. I wanted the house just for that room. My boyfriend nixed the place because of the three HVAC systems. The yard was big and spacious, but there were three outdoor air compressors attached to the house. My boyfriend felt that meant something was wrong with the current HVAC device. He said that it might not be insulated properly or one of the HVAC systems was worthless. At the time I thought three HVAC units wouldn’t be a problem. But we ended up passing on the place and now have a different house. I love my home and I still think about that house from time to time. I would love to have that room, but now as a homeowner, I would never handle three HVAC units. The amount of work my boyfriend and I put into a single unit is astonishing. I can’t imagine tripling the work! That is a lot of time, effort and money. Even just air filter changes would be a huge pain in the butt. My boyfriend is right too. If there were three units for the small of a house, something major is wrong with that place.
