Duct cleaning improves air conditioner performance

Last summer, I noticed that the air conditioner was running more often than normal.

Specific rooms in the home felt uncomfortably sizzling and lowering the temperature control didn’t make much difference.

There was also a higher concentration of dust floating around in the air, and every time the air conditioner cycled on, I’d start sneezing. I eventually called for repair from a local Heating & A/C corporation. When I explained the several concerns, the corporation asked how long it had been since I’d had the air duct professionally took care of. I was a little embarrassed to confess that I’d never even considered service for the ducts. He performed testing on the proposal and discovered a significant buildup of contaminants. This accumulation was restricting airflow and forcing the air conditioner to work harder and run longer. Whenever the cooling proposal operated, the air passing through the ducts was picking up the allergens concealed inside and circulating them throughout the house. Along with dust, pollen and dander, there was mold and mildew growth, bugs, webs, rodent feces and decomposing rodents creating a threat to our family’s health. The corporation used a device that looked a lot savor an industrial sized vacuum cleaner to complete the cleaning. A hose with a brush attachment worked to disapartment stubborn pollutants. The process took a little over an minute and made a huge improvement in the performance of the air conditioner and the comfort and cleanliness of our own. Plus, it lowered our electric bills. From now on, I will be more conscientious about having the air duct properly checked and took care of.
