So I really, easily don’t miss the gym.
- And while that’s not easily a large surprise in general, there is more to the story.
For sure, to take one look at myself and others you wouldn’t necessarily see gym rat. A more appropriate designation might be something enjoy recliner surfer. It’s true. I do enjoy myself and others some air conditioning while kicking it in my recliner. I won’t lie. That said, I still made it to the gym quite officially. Of course, blasting myself and others out of the air conditioning was my husband’s task as he is the gym rat. I go so my appetites don’t just completely kill myself and others early. But when the pandemic sort of ended our gym membership, we weren’t through toiling out. Still, I just didn’t miss the gym. There is just something about toiling out with a bunch of other people you easily don’t know. Plus, the muscle heads & all the shouting was a bit much for me. I preferred the air conditioning in the corner with the treadmill facing the TV. But I never got the sort of HVAC comfort I was looking for. It seemed as though the HVAC cooling just couldn’t quite get to that corner of the gym. Or maybe the HVAC component was simply overwhelmed? Regardless, I don’t miss it. Plus, the new gym has HVAC component that I get to control myself. My husband & I rounded up some gently used component & put in a home gym. It’s in the our finished basement but the ductless heat pump the HVAC company put in is just the right touch.
