I work a lot at a job that I’m most passionate about.
- The fact is that I’d probably still put in all the hours I do even if I didn’t get compensated the way I do.
That’s just how much I love what I get to do for a living. And the other cool thing about my career is that I’m also sharing it with my wife. We are both principles in the company that we work for. While we both love what we do and feel fortunate to enjoy a wonderful living, we like to relax in the air conditioning when we’re home. The idea of working as hard as we do at our job only to burn the time off we have with household chores wasn’t at all appealing. We tried it for a while but it led to almost zero time relaxing in said air conditioning. So, we started to bring on help. We have a lady who comes in three times a week to clean. Then there is a handyman that takes care of all the household stuff. The man can fix anything. Well, not the HVAC equipment as I learned really quick. I had noticed that the HVAC cooling wasn’t up to par so I texted our handyman to see if he could have a look at it. Wow, was he ever quick with the first no I’ve ever heard from him. He then followed that no up with why it’s so important to only have the HVAC professionals work on the HVAC unit. It was definitely quite an eye opener.
