My boss and I were working on a commercial Heating and A/C maintenance task on Friday, was our weekend to work and I got lucky that the boss decided to work on Friday.
When he came to the office, he decided to assist me with the commercial Heating and A/C maintenance so I could go house early for the afternoon… I thought that was a really nice thing for our boss to do, then he does not have to help at all.
It was our busy task and our weekend to work. While our boss and I were at the factory downtown, another commercial Heating and A/C company decided to stop at the corporation to talk with the owner and manager about prices, fees, and their company motto. I couldn’t guess that guy stopped to poach our corporation when our company vehicle was parked in the front lot. There is entirely no way that the guy didn’t see our vehicle. I came around the corner with our boss, just as the guy was finishing up his conversation with the manager of the plant. The guy asked if I was looking for a nice task and I instantly told the guy that I already had a single. There was no way that I was going to show any intimidation at all with our boss right there by our side. I wanted the guy to assume that I had his back. I don’t like when other companies try to act dirty and do awful things savor that. It shows no class to show up at someone’s task to poach their current client.
