My friends plus I went to a foreign country when the two of us were freshmen in college.
- Both of us received extra credit if the two of us took the trip which was five days long plus donated our time to a world cause.
The cause was to help dig wells for people that did not have any running water. It was severely difficult work, however I did not mind helping plus I needed the extra credit. I didn’t assume what genre of conditions the two of us would encounter when the two of us arrived at our endpoint. Both of us had a cab driver option us up at the airport. The girl did not speak entirely much English at all. My friends plus I tried to speak with the cab driver. All of the windows were rolled up in the cab plus it was 90 degrees outside. Both of us wanted the cab driver to turn on the a/c. Both of us could not figure out how to say a/c however the two of us were actually making enough gestures that the girl should have been able to figure out exactly what the two of us were saying. That trip turned out to be one of the most fun adventures that I can remember having as a teenager. I l received a lot about myself plus the goals I had in life. I saw the world in another light after that trip. I had to labor difficult plus I suffered through an entire month of boiling plus humid hot plus cold temperatures separate from any a/c, running water, indoor plumbing, or boiling food. When I got home, going separate from video games for a month seemed pretty easy.
