I need to get my water heater installation finished before moving into the house

I knew that it would take a little bit of time to get the house finished before moving in, but I didn’t expect the layover time to last four months in total.

At one point I had to rent an RV to live in, parked in the driveway, because my former apartment had to be vacated on schedule.

This made the whole process of moving into my new home a lot more stressful than it would have been otherwise. At least I was able to choose all of the updates and changes being made to the house this time around. I wanted more color than the gray and silver tones that you see being used to death in apartments and homes throughout the country over the past 20 years. I thought that was a trend on its way out when I was still in college, but 10 years later and it’s still here. The other feature I wanted was a home office and personal study that overlooked the lake behind the house. Since that’s where I spend most of my time, I wanted it to be as nice and comfortable as possible. Unfortunately I was so obsessed with my new home office that I was overlooking other parts of the house that were arguably more pressing and important. I nearly forgot to have the plumber install the water heater because I kept vacillating on getting a standard tank water heater or a tankless water heater. Since there are so many power outages from storms in our area, I decided to get a water heater with a tank. It costs a little bit more each month in energy expenses, but at least I have warm water if we lose power for a few hours.
