Renting an apartment in a new city is always very stressful.
Sometimes, you are looking online and think that you found a great place, but then you realize that there’s bars on the window.
Unfortunately this is the case for many cities. When looking for a new apartment you have to be willing to sacrifice some things you think you want. It is very similar to purchasing a new car. If you purchase a car and you get everything that you want, you more than likely paid much more than you thought he would. Same goes for renting an apartment. For me I only have a few specifications. My boyfriend wants to have central heating and cooling, but I understand that might not be doable in the region where we will be living. I am an advocate for window unit AC’s and I always have had them. I love my window unit AC and think that I would like to continue to have them in the future, until I buy a house of my own. I enjoy having the capability to cool a room and not another room. Having central cooling means cooling the entire house at all times. Much more can go wrong with a central cooling system then with a window unit AC. If a window unit AC breaks, it is very easy to fix or replace. Window unit AC’s are cheap and replaceable. While looking around for a new apartment in the new city, I don’t mind if I need to rent a place with window unit AC’s
