I didn’t realise how much I needed my cell phone until I had forgot to pay the bill and it got shut off! It isn’t what you think though. I could care less if I had my cell phone for calling people and getting phone calls because I am middle aged, work from home and am not on the go. But what I didn’t realise was that I needed my cell phone to operate my smart thermostat! My smart thermostat is nothing without having access to the app to control it. It was a real hassle having to get up to adjust my smart thermostat on my own like a regular digital or dial thermostat. After dealing with this for a few days I just could not take it anymore! So I picked up my landline phone, called the cell phone company and renewed my plan for another month. This was really a wake up call to me that the cell phone is more than just that. It is the complete control board to my smart thermostat! I spent a lot of money on top quality heating and air conditioning equipment. I am always up to date on the latest and greatest in heating and air conditioning technology. So not having a proper working app for my smart thermostat was just not going to cut it with me. I got set up on an automatic payment plan with the cell phone company so that way this will not ever happen again. I could not live without the app to my smart thermostat! Plain and simple all the way.
