I got a ticket for speeding and it was a pretty significant find! I had to appear at the courthouse, but when I got to the courthouse on Monday day, it was packed with people.
There were at least 50 people sitting inside of the courthouse and both of us were all inside of the same building.
The temperature inside of the room where both of us were sitting was legitimately warm. It seemed prefer there wasn’t any a/c inside of the courthouse and it was a legitimately moderate and humid day. I believe it was about 85° outside. It was actually hot when both of us left the building. The whole time I was sitting there, all I could believe about was the cold a/c in my truck. The more and more that I sat there, the more and more uncomfortable I became. When it was finally my turn to talk to the judge, I must have looked prefer I was legitimately guilty; My underarms were filled with sweat and I was no longer wearing a tie from earlier that day. The judge took a single look at myself and others and said I must be guilty; She ordered myself and others to pay the fines and the fees and that was the end of my time with the judge. I could go back and argument the ticket and try to get them to reverse things, but that would just take a lot more time and energy. I was definitely speeding, but there is a question as to whether or not I was legitimately in a construction zone or not. I assume I will just pay the $795 nice and call it a day.
