I know I’ve come to terms with the fact that my buddy and I are poised to get roasted during another Summer here where I live! My household is in the south & that means there is plenty of heat & humidity to go around! I would even say maybe too much! But that’s part of the deal if you want to live around here! Of course, those more fortunate than I take off for the northern climates & less air conditioner during the Summer.
I’m just not quite in that tax bracket so I just deal with what the Summer has to deliver! Hey, it’s worth taking a heating beating for four months to enjoy perhaps the best weather in the country the rest of the year, and there are some other enjoyable things about Summer.
I love going to watch my youngsters at swim meets & softball games! Plus, it’s only like four more months until my buddy and I leave the central air conditioner of household for Summer trip, however that means two weeks without having to once step inside the zone controlled Heating & A/C of the office. And that also means that I get to eat & drink & have a blast at the beach. But there’s one thing for sure that I won’t do again. I won’t be turning off the air conditioner while we’re gone. I did this once years ago in an effort to save some cash. I figured since my buddy and I weren’t home, why keep the cooling on? Well, I came household to a lot of mold & mildew. The heat pump is balancing the humidity level inside the house when the air conditioner is on, and so even if you push the thermostat a bit higher, leave the air conditioner on when you go on trip.
