Although this winter hasn’t been extremely cold and snowy, it has lasted for way too long for me.
I love winter when I can go skiing and ice skating, but that wasn’t the kind of weather we had this year.
It has been dreary and drizzly, and I am now ready for AC weather. I don’t want the extremes when it comes to heat and humidity, but I wanted to turn on the air conditioning and listen to the drone that always puts me to sleep. I wanted to go outside, get a tan, and clean the pool. My BBQ grill sat untouched for the last seven months, and I wanted ribs on the grill. My mouth was watering thinking about the ribs. My husband was outside putting new parts on the grill, and it was nearly seventy-five in the shade. I asked when we were going to turn on the air conditioning. He told me he was just thinking about that. We had a party coming up in about ten days. He said he would clean the air conditioning units on Sunday, and we could install them the next day. He wanted to make sure everything was okay before we began using the air conditioning units. When he smiled, I knew he had something else on his mind. He said we could go shopping and buy a new AC unit for my computer room since the old one didn’t work as well and was really noisy. The ribs were going to wait another day, because I wanted an air conditioning more than I wanted the ribs.
