The HVAC duct is slightly off centered

My best neighbor Tate & I recently obtained a apartment to flip & sell.

Tate is the a single who can do hardcore plumbing & electrical work.

I am the workhorse that makes spaces look pretty. I do sanding, mudding, drywall & add new fixtures left & right. The various of us have flipped several houses before with success. This a single apartment might be a doozy for us though. I recently was in the home office updating it. I had to sand the wood walls & paint with 4 coats of white paint. I then had to scrape the pretzels ceiling & paint. When I was up on a ladder I happened to be right by the Heating & A/C vent. I observed the opening for the Heating & A/C vent wasn’t right. The HVAC duct does not open perfectly center to the vent, slightly off to the right side. So that means about half of the air is trapped in the walls & the other half gets blown out into the room. That solved the mystery on why the home office is constantly sweltering. The home office skylights also add in tons of heat as well, and cooling the home office has been a disaster. Tate does not think much about Heating & A/C & does not want to spend cash messing with the HVAC duct or adding more powerful AC, and every one of us are loosely thinking of covering up the air vent & showing the apartment in the winter. You would not mind a sizzling room in the winter. There is a gas fireplace in the middle of the home office too.
