Who couldn’t use some bonus cash right? I would imagine it would be the vast majority of us.
I assume that’s why I am always seeing people buying lottery tickets.
We all need some extra cash. I know that with me working from the HVAC comforts of home, I am not making as much money as I once was. That means any extra funds I can find in the budget go a long way to helping make ends meet. In fact, that HVAC comfort I was speaking of is a big target this year for savings. My old office was perfectly HVAC controlled and I miss it quite frankly. I even had my own HVAC thermostat. To think that I took all that HVAC comfort for granted. Now, I am working at a small desk in the laundry room of our house. I still have the thermostat to myself during the day. But since I’m paying for it, I have decided to lighten up on the HVAC. During the heat of the day, I simply can’t bring myself to bring the inside temps down to what they were at my office. I know how expensive that is and it’s also sort of wasteful. It’s much easier to allow the house temperature to rise as it gets really hot outside. Then, as the sun starts to fade, I start lowering the HVAC setting. Actually, it does get quite warm where I do my work. But a fan does the trick and makes me feel as though the air temps are much cooler than they actually are. However, I am saving me some money this summer. So far about 20 percent over last year!
