When the HVAC technician arrived to inspect my furnace he seemed a bit nervous.
Sometimes I have to sit back and wonder if all humans should still be alive today. I know that our species has made amazing advancements in all realms of living. We have extremely comfortable homes, high quality medical care, and infrastructure systems that are designed to keep everybody relatively happy and healthy. That being said, I think that there are some weak links in our species that could probably use to be wiped off the face of the Earth. This is never more apparent to me than when I have to interact with the general public and be reminded of the general stupidity that they often have. This was even the case last week when I called out my central heating, cooling, and air quality control repair shop for a routine diagnostics appointment. I was worried about my furnace operations last year because it seems like the heating system was not consistently producing high-quality indoor air as I expected. Every day there were fluctuating hot and cold patches throughout the house that were driving me insane. I kept turning the thermostat up to get a more consistent indoor air temperature but I was growing tired of paying such high energy bills. I decided to call my heating and cooling repair shop before I needed to use the furnace again this year. When the HVAC technician arrived to inspect my furnace he seemed a bit nervous. I began to really question his professional expertise a few minutes into the furnace repair, however. When I heard him on the phone with his boss at the HVAC dealership asking for step by step guidance on my routine furnace inspection, I really started to doubt things. But it was when he accidentally lost a finger in my heater that I gave up on humanity.
