When I was growing up I had a very chaotic home environment.
My parents are always fighting and bickering with each other and the chaos was passed down to all of the kids.
My brothers became little hellions and they were always contributing to the household upset with their antics. You never knew what they were going to get into next or how they were going to upset the entire day. This is why I became the quiet, responsible, easy child to parent. There obviously was no more room for mischievous children in the household so I went the opposite direction. To this day I am still the quiet, responsible type. In fact, you might say that I am a massive workaholic. Unfortunately for my husband, because of my pension for working he has to make some compromises… Namely, he doesn’t have any say in the central heating and cooling controls. You see, because I’m sitting down at my desk every day I tend to be freezing cold. I have a hard time getting enough circulation to my fingers and toes to offset the naturally cold environment that we live in. Even in the dead of Summer I feel like I have a chill running through my body at all times. I like to have complete control over the central heating, cooling, and air quality control system so that I can modify the thermostat to match my inherent body temperature. As such, I am the only one allowed to touch the smart thermostat or make any major HVAC changes. My husband doesn’t love this air quality authoritarian set up… But he enjoys the fact that I pay all the bills.
