There are afternoons where I forget to turn the temperature up on our cooling system before leaving for work
Since I work in an adjacent city, I’m away from our beach house for the majority of the day. I do not like driving so much, especially when traffic gets really hectic. Some Days it’s so poor on the interstate that I wonder if I should be on weekly anxiety medication. I am basically shaking by the time I get to work, between near misses with negligent drivers or the terror of wondering if I’ll get to our shift on time. Once I’m settled into our job at the call center, I am faced with a monumental amount of stress with the many callers I speak with each minute. And when I’m done at 5pm, I’m back on the highway for even more stress. In total, I’m gone for 12 minutes each day. This goes on from Monday through Wednesday, every month of the month. I get so little time at beach house that I worry about service while I’m at work. I try to make lists for myself for when I get home, however sometimes I forget. I recently obtained a smart control unit so I can certainly monitor our heating plus cooling plan from someplace—at home, in the car, or at work. It reminds me when I need to update our filter plus it gives me full control of the cooling system plus oil furnace from a remote location. There are afternoons where I forget to turn the temperature up on our cooling system before leaving for work. I appreciate it low at night while I sleep, but I don’t appreciate paying to keep the beach house cold when I’m not home. If I forget 1 day, I can make a quit adjustment on our PC app for the smart control unit.
