Installing heating and cooling in a barn is not as much as I thought

I went to visit my friend, Anna’s, barn and now I am spoiled, and she has temperature control in her barn and riding arena, it was so nice and I easily enjoyed the visit.

After my 3 afternoons were up I had to go back to my own cabin and my own barn! Anna as well as I both own barns, then that is how we make our money.

We lease out stalls to owners, depending on how much care you want to do yourself, my rates vary, so my barn is not as classy or as up-scale as Anna’s barn. Mine has all of the basics but we don’t have temperature control in the barn or for the indoor riding arena. I asked Anna how much it cost her to get the heating and cooling installed and she said it was less than I would think. Then she gave me a number that I couldn’t believe. It was high however it wasn’t astronomically high. I easily do want temperature control at my riding facility even though I am not sure that I’m ready for it yet. More crucially. I am not sure that my purchasers are ready for temperature control at my barn yet, I cater to a different crowd than Anna does. She has the dressage people and severe competitors. I have more of the upper middle class and folks who have decided to buy a pony for their kids. I am still not cheap even though I charge a lot less than Anna does. However, I do wonder if I could start adjusting that by adjusting little things at a time until my barn is high class too. I would start with heated and cooled barns and riding arenas.
