Jimmy was happy it was summertime.
He wanted to leave the books behind and spend time at the beach with his friends.
They had been planning the trip for some time. The whole idea had started as a joke to see who could come up with the best plans. Jimmy had done some research and found a new chill spot. It was exclusive and had lots of great activities. When his friends heard about it, they decided to make it a summer getaway. When they got to the resort, each had a room with a functioning air conditioner. It was too hot to sit at the pool, so Jimmy decided to rest for some time. The HVAC unit was blowing lots of cool air, which helped him relax and take a nap. An hour later, one of his friends came barging into his room. They were heading to the restaurant to have some dinner and drinks. Jimmy didn’t want to leave the air-conditioned room, but he knew better than to say no. They enjoyed dinner, and a few drinks, then went to rest after a long flight. At night, Jimmy woke up sweating. He wasn’t sure what was wrong at first, then it dawned on him that the cooling unit wasn’t working. The whole bed was covered with sweat since it was so hot and humid in the room. Jimmy went to check the thermostat and noticed it was off. Nothing he did could turn the HVAC unit back on. So, he placed a call to the reservation desk asking for assistance. A little while later, an AC technician came to his room to check the aircon thermostat. He opened it and found it had some faulty wires. Though it was at night, Jimmy didn’t mind him working since all he wanted was a working central cooling and heating unit in the room.
