My AC technician advised me to landscape around my outdoor AC

The outdoor HVAC was working well and also benefited from the plants

After replacing my AC, I had to get a larger outdoor HVAC to serve my home. Summers were getting hotter, and we needed a better model. The house renovations had lasted two years. We started with the kitchen. My husband upgraded the cabinets and counters, which I had a fun time picking out. Next, we went to the bathrooms. It was time to replace all leaking faucets and put in smaller tiles for a lovely finish. Then we decided to do away with the ageing indoor and outdoor ACs. Since we were upgrading the house, we knew we needed better air conditioning. We visited an HVAC supplier in town and got to view some of the latest models. After picking out the right one for our house, he sent over an HVAC technician team to install it. The new outdoor AC was larger and more visible. This didn’t work with the aesthetics of the back garden. So, I asked an aircon expert what to do about it. She advised me to try clever landscaping tactics to hide the outdoor HVAC system. First, we built a new shade to keep the quality air conditioner away from direct sunlight in summer. Next, we bought a few tall plants that we planted 3 feet away from the AC. Growing them closer could have obstructed normal airflow. The tall plants were not only covering the HVAC system but offering a natural windbreak. The final result was marvellous since the shade and plants complemented each other. I was happy with the aircon mechanic’s suggestions. The outdoor HVAC was working well and also benefited from the plants. A year later, the AC technicians came back and commented that the landscaping around the outdoor HVAC kept dust and debris away. The condenser unit was cleaner than they were used to.
